A story by Žan

OLD SLAVIC PEOPLE

Long long ago, on the territory of Slovenia, there lived old Slavic people. Žitomir, one of the tribe leaders, who came with his tribe over the Carpathians, had a young son. His name was Samoslav. He had two friends, Pribigoj and Gojmir. They were very curious and brave. They had to know everything. But this characteristic was fatal for them. One day, they went to the forest. They caught a big roebuck. They were returning home happily. But suddenly, they saw a light that was coming from a small cottage. They hurried towards it, because it was getting dark. They came to the small door and knocked. For some time nothing happened, but then the doors opened. Small old woman was standing behind the door. She sad: “Who are you?” They answered: “We are young Slavic hunters. The night caught us in the forest, so we needed a shelter.” Old woman sad: “Come in, come in.” And three hunters entered. She gave them hot tea and some pork steaks. After they have eaten, they sat in front of fireplace. Then the old woman said: “Do you want me to make you a prophecy?” They sad: “Yes, yes please!” Old woman started to sing: “Three white ravens, seven black cats, and nine evil centaurs, give me a prophesy for this young men.” Suddenly the room darkened. Scary images appeared on the ceiling of the small cottage. Deep voice said: “Pribigoj, you will become an ironsmith. You will make the best weapons in all the world. Gojmir, you will become the best doctor in the world. You will heal all diseases. And you, Samoslav. You will become the best warrior in the world. You will rule all of the Slavic people.” Then, the voice suddenly disappeared and there was deep silence. Young men were happy and scared. In the morning, they thanked her and intended to go out, when old woman sad again: “Richness will destroy you”. They were too loud to hear her. So they went. They walked in silence for some time, but then they started to talk. They talked about old woman and her prophesy. But suddenly, they saw a chariot. It was filled with gold and silver coins, diamonds and expensive jewelry. They became greedy. They started to drag it to their village. They were almost in the village, but they had to cross an old bridge. When they were in the middle of the bridge, ropes tore apart, because treasure was too heavy. Together with treasure they fell in the river and sank. Old woman’s words became true.

A story by Primož

The story of THE END
Some say there is no such thing as the end. But ask Jon and he will tell you his frightening story!
It was a November rainy day and it was pouring all day long. I was sitting in front of my fireplace when I heard a window shatter I quickly ran upstairs and there in my bedroom was a UFO on my bed. I couldn’t believe myself. I’m actually standing in front of an alien. What’s even more disturbing it looked like me. Then he said come with me he grabbed me by the arm and we got into his ship. But I must admit it was pretty cool looking. Then we flew out the window. When we came into orbit we chatted a bit about ourselves. Then we saw a massive ship that was his mother ship. I heard him say we are going up there and he pointed at the bridge.
After 10 minutes we came to the bridge where we met the captain. He was a strong, I could see him lifting an apartment building. We chatted a little then he said: “If you don’t bring us 1 kg of anchovies we will destroy your solar system.”
When I came back to earth I ran to the kitchen and grabbed a kilogram of anchovies that we had. When we came back to the ship I gave them to the captain. He said these are perfect and he ate them all up. He ate them in one second or less. Then he said this time your race pass, we’ll meet again in a millennium or two. He left.
Safely on the ground I really realised haw close we came to mass extinction. Then I thought about telling this to my friends but no one will believe me so I settled to write a book about it an so I did and it’s five hundred pages of pure terror.

Three good men will visit us in the following days.
St. Nicholas
Father Christmas
Dedek Mraz
They all give presents to good children. When I was little I believed in all of them. Today I know that these are my parents. We are all looking forward to gifts. The month of December is my favourite month of the year. Every day something happens. All cities and villages, also shops are beautifully decorated. I am very happy when it snows for the first time. In January we turn a new page on the calendar and another year starts.

I'M A PAPPER

I remember when I was a little pepper. My mum planted me and gave me water.
It was funny. Even better was when I started to grow and the sun was shining on me.
Then I grew and grew. When I grew to the right size for my mum tore me off and put me into a glass.
The best thing I remember is when my mum said: delicius!

AT SEA
This summer I went on holidays in Primošten. I went with my mom, two brothers and Katja. While we were there we lived in our friend's house for five days. The house had sea view. Every day we went to the beach where we were swimming, jumping in the water and sunbathing. The first day we went to the town which was five minutes away from where we were staying. While we were there we went to the restaurant and to stands where I bought a ring for myself and earings for my best friend. My brother had birthday while we were in Primošten. Soo we baked a cake and gave him presents. At night we went swimming in the sea. The last day I got a visit. It was my two friends from back home. We spent the whole day on the beach and had fun. I had a very good time on my holidays and I hope I will go there again next year.

FISHING
One weekend, I, my mum, mum's friend Andrej and Andrej's friend Luka went fishing.
We went on Friday at 6 oʹclock. We came at the house where we slept very late in the evening. Next day I woke up and we had breakfast at 9 oʹclock. Then we went towards the sea.
At 11 oʹclock we started fishing. There were a lot of boats with fishermen. We had a small boat but it was good for us. I caught squids. After one hour I caught one squid. It was quite big. Later Andrej caught a fish but is wasnʹt very big. Then Luka caught a fish too. It was as big as Andrejʹs fish. After that he caught one more fish but it was poisonous. He didnʹt know that and he touched it. The fish bit him on the left hand and he started to feel an ache. At that moment we realised that this fish was poisonous. We went to the coas and to hospital, in Izola. I, my mum and Andrej waited for Luka in the waiting-room. Luka got two injections. Then he was good and he didnʹt feel the pain any more.
When we came back in the house, we started to cook lunch. Because our cooker didnʹt work, we barbecued fish, squid and other food. We barbecued very long because the barbecue was very small. So we didnʹt have lunch but dinner. We ate at 7 oʹclock in the evening. My squid was very good.
This was a very interesting advanture and an educational weekend. Now I can fish sqiuds and I know that poisonous fish live in the sea and what they look like.

THE SECRET HOUSE

There was a big house in the countryside of England. Near there lived a happy company. John, David, Eric and Melanie were members of the society named The Heroes. The house was very mysterious for them because it was black, dowdy and very unusual. They sometimes observed that house although it was boring. But one day David saw smoke coming from chimney. He called the other members to see that. Everyone was excitied. They decided that they want to explore it.
Next day they went to the big house. They had two torches just in case. Melanie was the bravest of all, although she was the only girl so she entered first. The others followed her. They went upstairs to the first floor. They were surprised it was tidy. They asked in the dark if there was anybody there. There was no answer and they continued the way forward. The company went to loft and there was an old woman. When she looked at them she wasn`t angry but happy that they visited her. She didn`t have any friends before. They went to the kitchen to drink some tea and to eat cookies. She told them her sad story because she had to leave Australia. She wanted to start afresh. They promised her they will visit her again.

LOVE
is really a strange thing. It can make us happy or sad.We know several types of love, love to parents, love to life, love to pets and of course, romantic love between girls and boys. I believe in love to food. Love began this weekend with a delicious chocolate cake. When I tried it I thought I was in heaven, chocolate and coconut flavour. It was a really winning combination. It lasted two days. It started early in the morning and ended late in the evening. Then it was all over.I couldn't put on my trousers. I think this is called love.

A story by Lenart

A house at the end of the street
Last halloween evening we were walking from house to house to get candies. We were dressed up in costumes. I was with my friend Lovro, we were very happy because we had full bag of candies. It was almost midnight and no one else was on the street. At the end of the street we saw a house in a shape of a castle and we said that this is the last house we will visit today. We came closer and the big metal gates opened in front of my nose. I was a bit scared but I didn’t want to tell that to Lovro. We were walking towards the door and we heard laughter. We rang and the door opened. A strange voice said to come in. When we stepped through the door,it closed. Then the man with a pumpkin head showed up. We were very scared. He put two eyeballs in our bags and he was looking at us. When the door opened we quickly ran out of the house. We went home. We couldn’t sleep and mum didn’t believe us. From now on only we know what is in this house.

Tv show
My favourite tv show is House. It is an American television medical drama with funny elements. The show´s central character is dr.House, a medical genius who heads a team of diagnosticians at the Princeton hospital. It´s very funny because dr. House often clashes with other doctors and with his own diagnostic team. It´s very attractive because dr. House solves cases of his sick patients. So don´t miss it! It´s on Pop TV every Tuesday at 10 o´clock .

When she came on surface she went on shore and went in their caravan. We were laughing really long time. She came down one hour later and we were laughing together. MY FAVOURITE BROADCAST!
Hi! My name is Rudy , my favourite broadcast is EXTREME MAKEOVER HOME EDITION! This broadcast shows us that there,in this world,we still have people who help other people. This broadcast talks about a group of people, who help the poor familes. They visit the families and the families show them the poverty and dirty and destroyed houses. The group sends them on holiday for one week, and during this time the group destroys the old house and starts building the new one. They call together more people who help building the new house. When family comes back they can't believe their own eyes, they are so happy. Once somebody even lost consciousness. When I grow up I hope I will be able to help poor people too, because it isn't fair that some people are poor and some people roll in money.

Haruki Murakami: Norwegian wood

Norwegian wood is a really great book. It's my favourite. I've read it three times and I'm always amazed.
It's about a twelve years old Toru. His friend Kizuki commits suicide and Kizuki's girlfriend Naoko is very depressed. Toru and Naoko have very special emotional friendship. But Naoko is very confused, she's lost in her mind, so she goes to live in a secluded mountain sanatorium. Toru continues with studying drama. He's got two very strange friends Nagasawa and Jurišnik. One day he meets Midori, who's very different from Naoko. She's outgoing, very vivacius and self-confident. Toru often visits Naoko in her sanatorium. He is still in love with her and he writes long letters to her. But some day Naoko also commits suicide. Toru is very sad and he takes a bag and for one month he walks confused round Japan. At the end he realises that Midori is the most important person in his life, but she will never forget Naoko, lovely confused girl.
The book isn't sad despite the suicides. It's very beautiful, slow, calm and sensitive story.

My dream journey by Erazem

My dream trip
It would take from 2 to 3 years. I would start it in Slovenia and go to France by plane. There I would live for about 5 mounts and I would work there because I would need money. There I would visit a lot of sights. From France I would travel to England. There I would be for a whole year. And again I would have to work. By that time I would live there I would travel to Ireland. In these two beautiful countries there are a lot of things to see and I want to see most of them. From England I would fly to America. First I would go to USA. I don’t know how much time I would be there but during my stay I would visit New York, Yellow Stone National Park, Las Vegas, Los Angles and Hollywood for sure. From there I would go to Canada where I would visit a lot of natural sights. By that time I would be out of money again and I would have to go home because I would miss home and people at home. At home I would stay for like 1 month and then I would go back to France where I would live for the rest of my life.

My adventure by Gaja

I'm a scout. I love scouting and I love being in nature, learning new usefull things such as knotting strings, surviving in nature... Every year, in the summer holidays, we go camping for 10 days. We've had several interesting experiences so far. We've been trough a lot together. There was this one time when we went camping by ourselves. Just us children, for 2 days. We got maps to the place where we were supposed to set the fire and set our tents. We were headed a couple of kilometres north. When we were approximately at the half of our journey, it started pouring and it seemed like it won't stop. We didn't have umbrellas and many of us were afraid. Not me of course. Me and my friend went to the nearest village to find some kind people who would help us. We had luck. We rang the house bell and a very kind, old lady opened the door. We asked her if we could sleep in some sort of a barn or something like that. She said that her house is one half empty and that we could sleep in if we want to. We were really glad. When we came, she was very nice. She showed us our room, which was pretty big and pretty modernised. We unpacked our stuff and she called us to the kitchen. She baked us pancakes with Nutella. We ate all of them of course. We had so much fun that night and I can't wait until this years camping trip with scouts. I think it's going to be the best one so far.

PET PRIJATELJEV
My favourite book is Pet prijateljev by Enid Blyton. The story talks about five friends Anne, George, Dick, Julian and dog Timi. In every book there is a new advenuture and a mistery which is at the end solved. For example, in the book "Letala v viharni noči" Jeff disappears and people charge for stealing very expensive equipment, so Anne, George, Dick, Julian and Timi discover the true thief, rescue Jeff and return the stolen equipment. Those books are very exciting and good. So you have to read them. You can buy them in a book store or simply borrow in our school library.

An interview by Aljaž

Were you born in Škofja Loka?
-Yes I was born in 1947, near a bakery. But now the bakery doesn't exist anymore. I heard that some robbers robbed and destroyed it.

What was life like in Šk.Loka in those day?
-It was very beautiful, clean and the people were very friendly and nice to each other. The town was always full of people. My father worked in a factory and my mom in a bakery that was very large. They used to work from seven in the morning to six o´clock in the evening. Sometimes my neighbour watched over me.

What do you particulary remember about that time?
-I loved boxing in that time so I decided to go and try it for myself. I really enjoyed the trainings, and I won most of the competitions in that time. In boxing I also met my wife, working in a training sport centre.

-Do you think children were happier when you were young?
Yes, I think they were. We didn´t have computers or TVs. We played together all the time, often in the street. We didn´t worry about all the things that young people worry about now.

Children were wery afraid of Germans. We were very happy, when the war ended.

Interview
This time you will learn about life before modern technologies. The name of the person is Matej Klješčik.
When and where were you born?
I was born in 1940 in a small village.
What was your childhood?
Well, we weren't very rich, in fact, we were almost poor. We had a small farm, with not many crops and animals. I had to work on fields almost every day. Sometimes my friends were little jealous of my father's wooden objects. He even taught me how to do almost all of them. Ahh. I still remember those days clearly.
What did you think about televisions, computers... ?
Hmm. When all these new things arrived, I was a grown man. Before that, I thought that nothing like that exists. Now I can see how much the world has changed. I sometimes think that these things are almost irrelevant to me and my friends. I don't know. Maybe we shouldn't be spending so much time behind the screens but more outside and at friends' houses.
Would you want to be born in this century?
I am not sure. Well, I think that if I could choose betwen this and the 20th century, I would rather be in the 20th century. I just don't understand today's kids. They do things that I or none of my friends would do. Yes, I would definitly choose my century!

MY BEST DREAMS EVER

Ten o'clock. I was very tired, so I decided that I had to go to bed. In five minutes, I fell asleep. »Hello!« said somebody behind me. There were my classmates. They had no bags and nothing. »Where are you going?« asked a girl. I didn't know. I was just a trash in another world. »I'm late, I think. I must go to school,« I said. My classmates were laughing. I had no idea why. I asked them. »There is no school,« said one of the boys. »There is only fun in this world.« In this moment, I was so happy. Like summer holidays I thought. A long period without bad moments and fear of exams. I liked that world, I really liked it so much. And then I woke up. I don't know why, but I just woke up and the dreams were gone forever. I went to school and forgot my dreams.

A BAD DAY
The clock rang at seven o’clock but I didn't get up. I woke up but I fell asleep again. I got up at nine o’clock and I remembered I was late in school. I came to school at ten o’clock and my teacher was very angry with and I was sad. Then I had maths. We wrote a test and I didn’t know a lot. I was in a bad mood but I remembered my best friend had a party today. I smiled and went home. I didn't look where I was walking and I fell. I broke my leg and I was in hospital all afternoon. It was a really bad day.

My journey around the world by Nika

JOURNEY AROUND THE WORLD
I went on my journey with a red vespa. I started in Slovenia. Then I sailed to Italy and travelled across the whole Italy. I saw Rome, Venice and other Italian cities. I tasted Italian pizza and spaghetti. Then I continued my journey to France. I have seen everything from Nice to Paris. I watched Paris from the Eiffel Tower. I've seen the Mona Lisa paiting in Louvre. The fragnance of paella turned my vespa west – Spain. I dropped by in Portugal. With a ship I got to Great Britain. And like in other countries I've seen everything even the princess Diana, although she is dead. I visited Ireland and its capital city Dublin. Then I took a flight to cold Iceland. Beautiful geysers fascinated me. I flew to Norway and there I watched aurora borealis. I visited Father Christmas in Lapland. And then I turned south to the former Yugoslavia's coutries. On the way I stopped in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. In Yugoslavia's coutries I ate small sausages called čevapčiči. I travelled to Greece's islands, where I saw Greek sights – from Acropolis to Delphi. In Turkey I've seen the Blue Mosque and I ate kebab. Then I flew to South Africa, where I visited National park and Cape Town. My journey continued in India where I saw Taj Mahal, and I ate spicy food. Then I flew to China where I drove my vespa along The Great Wall of China, I ate noodles in Chinese restaurant and I saw millions of botanic gardens and their typical homes. My next stop was Japan when I saw their temples, gardens, parks, samurais, blooming cherries and I watched sunrise. Then I flew to Down Under or Aussie land. I saw Sydney opera and I tried surfing. I spent some time in the outback and lived with Aborigines. I saw Uluru and and Great Barrier Reef. I went to see Kiwi's land to. I saw kiwis there and the Maori. They gave me necklace, which brings good luck I saw their homes and dance. Then I visited milions of islands in the Pacific ocean. They are amazing. I stopped in Tahiti and Bora Bora. I swam in beautiful water, I sat under the palm and watched sunset. Then I continued to Hawaii, where I've learned hula dance, the locals showed me great volcanos and secret places. A story by Žan

Volleyball
In our village we have a volleyball court. It was a Friday, it was ten o´clock in the morning when my neighbour Grega called and asked me if we could play a game of beach volleyball. Of course I said »Yes«. I was interested in who would be playing with us. He told me that Jan, Aleš, Miha, Jošt, Erik and Gašper. When we met on the field, we divided into two groups and the game started. My team lost by only one point. After finishing the game, we were thirsty, so we drank some juice.

My favourite book by Katra

My favourite book is Slumdog Millionare. It was writen by Vikas Swarup and the movie based on this book won eight Oscars.
The story is about a boy Ram Mohamed Thomas. Ram wins a television quiz and gets 1.000.000 rupees. This is very unusal becouse he never went to school and read the newspaper and he knew all the answers. So the police arrested him. Then he told a story how he knew all the answers; he told how hard his life was, what he had to do and why he went to TV quiz. At the end of story he tells how different his life is now when he is rich.
You must read this book, even if you've already watched the movie. It's much better than movie and it's very easy to understand and easy to read. When I started reading I couldn't put it down. It's the best book I ever read.

BUTALCI
Butalci is my favourite book. It was written by Fran Miličinski. Butalci are population of the imaginary place called Butale. They think they are smart, inteligent and important, but in reality they are very stupid and limited. They constantly compete with people which are called Tepenjčani, because they want to be smarter and more advanced. The story is hilarious, not too long and I like it.

A story by Maja

The Best Time Ever
It was a very hot and sunny summer day, when my family decided to go on a trip. We woke up very early and started our way to Gardaland. That is a theme park in Italy. We drove for about 3 to 4 hours. My family is quite big so, it wasn't boring. We arrived to the parking space at about 9.15. It was a very hot day so we knew that we will enjoy it. We got our express tickets so we didn't have to wait very long in the queue. One of my favourite attractions was the Atlantide. We took a ride with it in the middle of the afternoon, because we were very hot. We went back to the car at about 6 o'clock. When we drove home everyone fell asleep, because we were all very tired.
Now I dream about our trip almost every night since we came back. It was the best time of my life and I hope that we will do it again.

FOREST ADVENTURE
Last summer my friends and I had an interesting adventure. We went camping in the Kočevje forest. The forest there is very old and thick. At night there are no lights and you can only hear some animal noises. My friends and I like to play that we are explorers of new territories. One day we went hiking in the forest. We walked for three hours, when we heard a noise in the bushes. My friend Andrej shouted; »A bear!«. We were all very frightened, so we hid behind some trees. My friend Tilen fell into a hole and couldn't stand up. He was screaming that the bear will get him. We told him to be quiet and lie very still. We waited for a long time. When the forest was quiet again we came out from our hiding places to see what had happened to Tilen. He hurt his leg. Andrej took his backpack and we helped him to walk back to our camp. The next day when we talked about our adventures we discovered that no one saw the bear. Maybe there was no bear. Maybe it was just a deer or a rabbit.

My favourite book and TV show by Sara

MY FAVOURITE SHOW
My favorite show is a musical show X Factor. This show started recently and is very interesting to watch, as people in Slovenia show their talents in singing and the jury decides whether they will continue to sing or will be gone from the stage. I have seen three auditions and I think that is very interesting. The funniest scenes are when some talents come to show and can not sing. When I see these people I think I too can go and sing in the show. This show includes four auditions, semifinals and finals. Do not miss this show, it is great. This show is every Sunday at eight in the evening on POP TV.

MY FAVORITE BOOK
Veliko srce by Nejka Omehen is the best novel I've ever read. It is very interesting and a thick book. When I started reading, I couldn't put it down, it was very exciting and full of new experiences. The story is about a fifteen-year-old Lara, who lives in an orphanage and sees its future in design school. But her plans are destroyed by Uncle Leo, for who she was unaware, and he takes from the orphanage into his house and she even goes to high school and she has to live in a dormitory. Dreamy and artistic Lara is sad and lonely at first, but soon finds that she is not bad. She befriends a sick aunt and finds friends, maybe even love. From this story you can learn how to be patient and friendly with everyone. You can borrow this book in the school library or buy it at the bookstore. It is a very good book!

My favourite TV show by David

A minute to victory
This show is played in Slovenia. It is on channel POP TV. Its leader is Bojan Emeršič. This show is very intersting. There are of a lot of games. There is an audience in the studio too. The player is chosen in public. He brings his family with him to watch play and that is most intersting for me.One game is about balloons. You must blow three balloons with your mouth and balloons mustn't fall down. It is very quick and stressful game. Each level which is harder than the last one. Someday I want to be in that game and try how good I am.

SCHOOL NEWSPAPER

In school we have our newspaper. Two weeks ago we went on a skiing trip to Cerkno. At 8.00 we gathered at the school. Then we went by bus to Cerkno. Teachers distributed ski passes. Then we went skiing. We were divided in 6 groups and in every group there were about ten students. We skied for about 4 hours. Because skiing is very hard and our legs hurt a lot, we went to a restaurant and ate chips and chicken stakes. Then we continued skiing for two more hours. When our ski passes expired we put our gear in the bus. The trip was very nice and interesting. We came home at about four o'clock.

A story by Neža

MY DREAMS I was riding a deer in a dark forest, when I saw three boys. One of them had a pistol in his hand. He pointed the pistol in the deer. Suddenly he shot. He didn't hit the deer, but he shot me. I fell off the deer. The deer was very scared and it ran away deep in the forest. The boys were laughing. They wanted to see, if they shot the deer. They came close to me. One of them screamed, when he saw what he did, but I did know who. The same boy took the mobile phone and he called the rescuers. The other two boys ran away, because they thought that would go go to the jail for this reason - they shot without a licence. The rescuers arrived and they took me to the hospital. I looked around, then I saw blood in my arm and I thought somebody realy shot me. I look on the other side. I saw a boy. I knew him a long time. I remembered that he shot me in the arm, but I knew that was an accident. We arrived to the hospital. They took me in the operation room. The operation lasted for two hours. The boy waited in the clinic's waiting room. He was very scared. At last they allowed him to see me. When I woke up I saw him sitting near my bed. I was very happy to because I was alive. He said he had to go and ge turned to the door. Then I called his name. He turned to me and I gave him a hug and a kiss. Neža Demšar, 8.a

JOURNEY ROUND THE WORLD

If I had enough money to travel around the world, I would visit the place where Mayas lived . I would look round the piramids and inside them, because I'm interested in their history and their buildings ,they were so inteligent.
Then I would go to Egipt and spend some time there too. Most time on vacation and the rest of it for looking around famous pyramids.
I would love to go to Australia too, and spend some time in the wild. They say that it's good if you are already in Australia to visit Sidney and look at the Sidney Opera House.
And in the end I would like to go to China and walk on their famous Chinese Great Wall , and spend some time shopping in their markets. I don't know why but I will. I think because of low prices.
I think that's the most of it. You may have your favourite places too, and I think you would spend some time for looking round each one of them.

JOURNEY AROUND EUROPE

My journey around Europe started in Italian port Savona. We decided to travel by ship.
On the first day we went to Rome where we saw the Trevi Fountain, Colosseum and Spanish Steps. But it was a rainy day, so I wish I could go there again.
The second day was time for Sicilia. There wasn't much to see but we walked through town anyway. I remember there was very good ice cream.
The third day we spent on ship and had a lot of fun.
Day four was my favourite – Barcelona. We spent whole day there, but we only saw Gaudi park, Camp Nou and Sagrada Familia because the city is very big. I would like to go there again, to see the other sights too.
The last day before we went back to Savona was the island Palma de Mallorca. It was a beautiful sunny day. And I liked it because there was a lot of time for shopping.
Then we went back home. I enyojed the trip and I would like to go there again with my friends someday.

My favorite book
My favorite book is Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. This novel was written by a British author J. K. Rowling. It was released on 21st July 2007. The whole story consists of seven parts and this is the last one. I do not read very often, but I really enjoyed reading this one. It is really interesting and has a lot of twists and unpredictable scenes. I the first few parts Harry struggled to become a famous wizard, he discovered many amazing things and found some new friends. Together they defeated many creatures and beasts. In this part Harry's mortal enemy Lord Voldemort returns and one of his allies murders Harry's favorite teacher and headmaster of the school- professor Dumbledore. Harry decides to leave school to find and defeat the evil Voldemort. I won't tell you the ending because I don't want to spoil the story. You can buy the book online or in a local book shop, you won't regret it.

Strange Daydream
It was a quiet evening when Ann and her friend Didi drove home. They drove along a forest road and it was already quite late. They talked and listened to music of their favorite singer. It was a long but quite pleasant ride. They decided to stop for a moment and ate yesterday's sandwiches. But when they wanted to continue the trip the car no longer wanted to start. Their heart began to pound. They were frightened and lost. They did not know how to solve the situation. They went through the dark forest to find someone who might help. They became afraid that they were lost in the woods, so they returned to the car. Long time no one came by. Then they saw the lights in the distance. They didn't know who was approaching. They were scared again. It turned out that it was only a car that came to help them. While they were in the woods, someone noticed an abandoned car and informed the police. The police then called the car club mechanics. They repaired a small engine defect pretty quickly. They were happy that they could continue their trip home. Meanwhile, their favorite singer played loudly again from a car stereo.

Childhood memories

IN CONVERSATION WITH PETRA BREGAR

Were you born in Kranj?
Yes, I was born in Kranj in July 1972, in hospital. But I lived in Škofja Loka.

What was life like in Škofja Loka those days?
Not too much different from now. Maybe there was less traffic and there were not so many shops. Where there used to be meadows there are houses now.

What's your most vivid childhood memory?
I remember when president of SFRJ, Maršal Tito, was driving through Škofja
Loka. I was standing near "Nama" and there were a lot of people with
flowers and flags. He was going to Dražgoše. I was very young but I felt
something important was going on.

What were schools like at that time?
Not so different as today. But I thing that we had more respect to the teachers as now.

VOLLEYBALL MATCHES AND CREAMCAKE

Last month we had two volleyball matches at Bled. My coach promised me and my team if we won both matches she would buy creamcakes for us. We were very happy and we said we must win both matches. Finally Sunday came and we drove to Bled. At ten o'clock the first game started. First we played with Žirovnica. We played very badly so we lost the match. We were very sad and we didn't get creamcake. After the first match we had another match. We played with ACH Volley junior. We started badly, but then we played better. But we didn't win and our coach was very angry. She thought we won both matches. We dissapointed her, but we were happy, because we thougt we played good, although we could play better. My parents came to watch the matches and supported my team. My father said we really could play better but he was proud of me anyway. That day my parents went on a trip to Bled. We don't go to Bled many times, but when we go there, we always eat creamcakes. That Sunday me and my parents went to Bled, so we had to eat creamcakes. When we finished the matches, me and my parents went in a restaurant and I got a creamcake. I was realy happy.

Slovene football team
In the year 2008 Slovenian football team as usually started to play in qualifications for the football world cup in South Africa.
Their first game was against Poland. Poland was leading 1:0 when Slovenian Zlatko Dedić scored a goal for a draw in Poland which was a good score against a very good team. The next game was against Slovakia in Ljudski vrt. Milivoje Novakovič scored two goals and we beat Slovakia 2:1. A month later we competed in Belfast in Northern Ireland. We were trying to score a goal for 80 minutes, then in a moment everything changed, again Milivoje Novakovič scored a goal and Zlatan Ljubljankič a few minutes later. After a good start of qualifications, the football was a first thing to talk about in Slovenia. But when you expected too much there goes wrong. Slovenia lost in Czech Republic, drew in Ljudski vrt and lost in Northern Ireland. We thought that the dream of South Africa was over, but then Slovenia started to grind the oponents. First we beat San Marino at home. Then the Poland team came to Slovenia, and we had to win. Slovenian football team beat Poland team with a score three to null. The next game was against Slovakia. Slovaks needed only one point to qualify into the world cup, but our plans were different. Valter Birsa scored an amazing goal from more than 25 meters, and later Nejc Pečnik. We beat them 2:0 and coach of Slovenia Matjaž Kek was very happy, but we were still far away from the success in Africa. We beat San Marino 3:0 and if we wanted to go to Africa cup directly, Slovakia had to lost or draw in Poland. That didn't happen, so Slovenia went in qualification playoffs. Slovenia got a strong Russia. The first game was on artificial gass in Moscow. Russia was leading 2:0, then Nejc Pečnik scored a goal for Slovenia. Slovenia needed a score at least 1:0 to go to Africa. In the forty-third minute Zlatko Dedič scored .
Slovenia made it into the world cup in South Africa.

Journey around the world by Lara

MY JOURNEY ROUND THE WORLD

My journey round the world started in Egypt. First we stayed in a beach hotel for a few days. Then we travelled by bus to Luxor and we saw many temples and tombs. After that we travelled to the capital town Cairo by sleeper. We visited there Giza pyramids and sphinx, a museum and a perfume store.
Next up we visited London. It has many different things to see. We went to Natural History Museum. We saw many interesting animals and plants there. I also remember the Madame Tussauds Museum. I still have some pictures of me and celebrities. The best thing in London was London Eye. The view was beautiful.
Our journey continued on Cuba, an island in Central America. We stayed in a wonderful hotel. We saw the plantations of sugar cane and tobacco. The most incredible were daily tropic showers. Almost every day was raining, but there was enough hot for swimming in big waves of blue Caribbean sea.
Next stop was Istanbul. There were so many mosques and the biggest one is the Blue Mosque. But I didn’t like it because the smell was awful. I couldn’t breathe. There was an interesting market called Grand Bazar. We spent some time in a Turkish sauna.
Next stop was an island Sicilia. There were many ancient temples. The most famous thing on Sicilia is a volcano called Etna. It is still active and erupts from time to time. We went to one of the craters. It was hot and steamy there.
At last we went to Sri Lanka. We saw so many buddhist temples. The nature on Sri Lanka is very diverse – from rainforest to reach tea plantages and dream sandy beaches. Riding an elephant was one of the craziest things I have ever done. The best was a beach hotel and swimming in big waves.

SURVIVAL ON AN ISLAND

An English pilot Edward Teach was flying a plane above the Atlantic ocean. He was travelling to Hawaii with his friend Tom Robinson. It was a very sunny and warm day, and it was summer. They were very happy.Suddenly, they heard a very loud bang. When they looked out the window they saw that the aircraft engine exploded. Plane was falling to the sea and they had to act quickly. They pinned the parachute and jumped out of airplanes into the sea. When they landed in the sea, they saw a small island, and they swam on it. Edward and Tom lived on that small island for 2 months. They built a shelter of branches and leaves and caught the fish for food. They also ate coconuts by coconut trees. But suddenly on the 64th day of their stay on the island there was a big storm. Tom and Edward found on the shore the aircraft wreckage in the morning after. The storm washed residues of the plane! They looked for anything useful, and found a radio! It was a bit bruised but it worked! They called for help and, on the 65th day they saw a plane! They were finally rescued and ready to return back to civilization.

WERE YOU BORN IN LJUBLJANA?
Yes, I was born in 1954, on a very big and poor farm, that was not far
from my school.

WHAT WAS LIFE IN LJUBLJANA IN THOSE DAYS?
I think that life wasn't that easy as life today. Most families were poor .
In the morning we went to school. We didn't have soo many aids for school.
We only had textbooks. We wrote with little stones on plate. In school was very strict education.
After school we went back home and then we had to work on a farm. Children helped on fields.
So as you see we didn't have any free time.
If I had free time I would hang out with my friends. We played with little stones (that game was called PILKANJE). Boys played games with ball. And sometimes we played chess.

DID YOU HAVE CANDIES IN THOSE DAYS?
Yes, we had, bud not so many as you have now.
I remember that my mother gave me a chocolate and I was so happy.

WAS LIFE ON A FARM HARD?
Yes , it was, because sometimes we worked all day.
We didn't have any machines to work in the fields.

WHATS YOUR MOST VIVID CHILDHOOD MEMORY?
I remember that children studied in the evening by candles, because in those days we didn't have electricity.
And I almost forgot to tell that once a year we killed a pig and we made sausages. All my relatives came and afterthat we celebrated.

DO YOU THINK CHILDREN WERE HAPPIER WHEN YOU WERE YOUNG, AND WHY?
Yes, because we were happy with what we had. Children today are too spoiled and they are not thankful to their parents enough.

MY JOURNEY AROUND THE WORLD

I HAVE DECIDED TO GO ON A TRIP AROUND THE WORLD AND TO VISIT PLACES AND COUNTRIES I LOVE. I HAVE PLANNED THAT I WILL TRAVELL BY TAXI, PLANE, SHIPS,... FIRST I TOOK A PLANE FROM SLOVENIA TO SPAIN. I LOVE SPANISH LANGUAGE SO I ENJOYED THERE VERY MUCH. WHEN I LANDED IN BARCELONA I TOOK A TAXI AND WENT TO VISIT SAGRADA FAMILIE. AFTER MY STAY IN BARCELONA I WENT ON A SHIP TO SOUTH AMERICA. ON THE WAY WE STOPPED AT THE BAHAMAS. THERE ARE AMAZING PALMS, BEACHES AND CLEAN BLUE SEA. THEN I CONTINUED ON A SHIP TO BRAZIL AND ARGENTINA. THERE I VISITED TROPICAL FOREST WHERE I SAW SO MANY BEAUTIFUL ANIMALS AND BIG OLD TREES. I STAYED IN RIO DE JANEIRO FOR A FEW DAYS. THEY HAVE VERY BEAUTIFUL BEACHES THERE. I ALSO TOOK A SMALL TAXI-BOAT AND WENT DEEP INTO RAINFOREST. IT WAS AMAZING. WHEN I RETURNED TO RIO I TOOK A FLIGHT TO FINLAND, HELSINKI. THERE IT WAS VERY COLD AND I CAUGHT A COLD. ON MY WAY TO NORWAY WE HAD A SNOW STORM. I SAW BEAUTIFUL FIORDS, GEYZERS AND A LOT OF MUSEUMS. IN NORWAY I TOOK A FERRY TO DENMARK WHERE I GOT ON A TRAIN TO FRANCE. I WENT DIRECTLY TO PARIS. Childhood memories

IN CONVERSATION WITH MY GRANDMOTHER
Where you born in Slovenia and when?
I was born in 1954 in Kranj.
Where was your school?
My school was in town. It was small and the teachers were much more stricter to us. We were punished if we didin't work hard.
What high school did you finish?
I finished tekstille high school. It was a very nice school, but I had to work very hard to finish high school. Those times were hard in every area.
What do you miss from those times?
I miss the talking. People don't talk much. When you go out some of them don't even say hello to you. Some are very rude. I miss children in the gardens, playing with each other and not playing video games like they do. I miss people from those times.
Do you think that your times were better than times now?
Yes of course they were. We didn't have computers,TVs, we didn't have any technology. We were happy for what we had, we were happy for every single thing we got. We wern't selfish. And we knew how to have fun. We were outside every single day and we were happy. Now children don't know how to be like us so most of the children stay in their rooms and play video games all day long. They don't have true friends, they only have hundreds of fake friends on computers. It's sad how it is.
What are your hopes for the future?
I hope there wont be so many computers, TVs and other things that make people diffrent. I'm hoping for nicer future and that my granddoughters and grandsons will have beautiful lives.

MY JOURNEY AROUND THE WORLD

WHEN I WAS 14, I DECIDED TO GO AROUND THE WORLD. LAST YEAR I FINALLY RAISED ENOUGH MONEY TO GO ON THIS LONG JOURNEY. I WANTED TO SEE ALL THE MOST POPULAR TOWNS, ESPECIALLY DUBAI. I STARTED MY TRIP WITH A FLIGHT TO MOSCOW. IT WAS VERY COLD THERE, SO I DID NOT STAY THERE FOR AS LONG AS I THOUGHT. MY NEXT CITY AFTER MOSCOW WAS DUBAI. THE WEATHER THERE WAS SUNNY ALL THE TIME SO I WAS ABLE TO SEE ALL THE INTERESTING PLACES. THE MOST INTERESTING PLACE TO VISIT THERE WAS BURY CALIF. IT IS THE HIGHEST BUILDING IN THE WORLD. I STAYED THERE FOR A FEW DAYS AND THEN I FLEW TO JAPAN - TOKYO. I BOUGHT A NEW NISSAN CAR, MODEL 370Z, TOOK IT ON A SHIP AND SAILD TO BRASIL - RIO DE JANEIRO. WHEN I CAME TO THE PORT IN RIO, IT WAS THE TIME OF THE CARNIVAL. THERE I BOUGHT A LOT OF INTERESTING SOUVENIRS. MY LAST PLACE OF VISIT ON MY JOURNEY WAS LONDON. I STAYED THERE FOR ALMOST A WEEK. I VISITED ALL TOURISTIC SIGHTS. AFTER 57 DAYS OF MY JOURNEY AROUND THE WORLD I RETURNED HOME. I SAW AND MET A LOT OF NEW PEOPLE AND GOT A LOT OF NEW FRINEDS FROM ALL OVER THE WORLD.

ARGUING
I was on holiday with my two best friends. We were at the campsite near the sea. It was a beautiful and sunny day. We were watching a horror film. When the film ended we were arguing who would go first in the water, because the monster in film pulled a woman into water. It was very terrifying.
We were all very nervus and we were standing on rocks. Then a friend just pushed Polona and she fell into water. Then we all jumped into the sea. And we were all happy.

»EXTREME« SURVIVAL
We have a dog called Bina. She is 3 years old and she is a very healthy dog.
But I think it was a week ago, when she started to feel worse. Suddenly we saw a lump under her eye. Everybody in our familly was so worried. I almost cried. All of my good mood turned to worse. And it was already worse because of the bad expieriences we had with the lumps on other dog`s bodies. Our first Bina died because of a lump in her stomach. She was the best and the cuttest dog we ever had. And that is why I loved this dog so much.
The situation was getting worse and worse from hour to hour. But it was SATURDAY and we couldn`t take the dog to the doctor. I had to wait another TWO days!!!
Next day, it was Sunday. And after the Mass, me and my brother Jan took Bina for a little walk. This lump grew from a little lumpie to a great lump in a day! My thoughts were black and I didn`t eat all day. Even in the evening, I didn`t watch TV as usual. I just went up to my bed and fell sleep. The next morning, it was Monday. And with Monday, there was school again. But it made me a bit happier. I could see my friends again, and we chated a lot. The weather was great, and in my black mind, there was a little light flashing: TODAY we go to the vet and he will examine Bina! And all happy I came home.
But when I came home, I started to feel a bit nervous. Already, when I came, on the door, there was mum. Her face was happy and suddenly, I knew the words, she will say. And she finaly said: »Bina is better! The lump is getting smaller and smaller. We have cancelled the examination at the vet and you can take her for a walk if you want in the afternoon!«
All of us were happy and also my classmates were happier than I expected. So like all the American films and stories, also this story came to a HAPPY END!

THE FEAR OF NIGHT
It was happening along time ago in the nineties, when country Slovenia was going to be a free country. There was a little house up on the hill, where one happy family lived. One weekend mum and dad decided to go out to celebrate this freedom, but their son Žiga stayed at home alone.
He was accustomed to this. But one night on November 2nd something unexpected happened. He decided to watch a very good thriller on TV. When he started to watch it he became very excited. But at the end of the thriller he was very scared. After the film, he walked up to the second floor and heard something. He thought that someone opened the door. He knew that that it wern't his parents, because it wasn’t the time, when they said that they would come home. It was too soon. He ran up into his room and he hid under the bed. Then he heard, that someone was walking up. The robber entered the parents’ room. Žiga took advantage and ran down into the kitchen. There he took the biggest pan and hid behind the fridge. He waited that the robber came down. Then Žiga hit him with a pan and the robber swoon and fell down. Žiga immediately ran and picked up the phone. He called the police. When police arrived the robber was tied with the very strong rope. The police took the robber away, and Žiga was very happy that he won the battle against him. After that, he went to bed.
Next day he told about the whole story to his parents. They gave him a reward and took him to the very exciting adrenalin park. All of them were very happy that the adventure had a happy end.

HOLIDAY IN SAN FRANCISCO

One day last spring I answered some questions at a contest and I won a trip to San Francisco for two persons for four weeks. I was very happy. I decided to invite my best friend Anže with me. We hardly waited for the day, when we went. The best thing was that we went alone and there weren't our parents. Finnaly came the day when we went to San Francisco. We went there by plane. First day we decided to go to the theme park DisneyWorld. There were a lot of attractions, but the most terrific roller coaster was the one called Superman Ride. My friend Anže did not dare to go on the roller coaster, but I persuaded him that we went. The queue of was so long that we waited for one hour. Finnaly we came on roller coaster and when we were high in the air the electricity suddenly ran out for fifteen minutes. Some people were screaming but me and my friend tried not to panic. When the electricity was back, we finnaly got on the ground. We decided that we'll never go to any theme park again, because you never know, what will happen there. Then on a trip we also visited many interesting places and crossed the Golden Gate Bridge with bikes. The bridge is 2737 meters long and it is one of the most internationally recognized symbols of San Francisco, California and of the United States. Finnaly we went home and we told parents stories from our trip. This was the best holiday with my best friend Anže.

MY DOG
When I was 5 years old my father gave me a big present. I opened it and I saw a little puppy named Feder. I was so happy.
I was spending a lot of time with him. One day my dog ran away, and I was scared. I told my parents that it ran away. They were mad at me, because I didn't watch him. I was looking for him until the night. I didn't find him and I was crying.
Next day my neighbor Peter found my dog and called me to his house. I came to him and saw my dog. Peter told me what happened to my dog. I was very happy to see him and I hugged him. I was grateful to Peter because he found him. Then Urban, Jure and Bine came to me and they saw my new dog and we were all playing with it.In the evening I told this story to my parents and they were very proud of me.
Today, my dog is still alive and it's 11 years old. It's still an adventurous spirit, clever and it's my best friend.

STRANGE DREAMS
One day I woke up in a very strange room. Everything was black and I heard strange, scary voices. When I wanted to stand up an run away, I fell down, because I was bound with a rope. Then the man in black came to me. He was horrible! I tried not to look at him. He said something but I can't remember what. When he went out of the room I tried to cut the rope with broken glass on the floor. But I couldn't cut it because my arms were so weak. It was my only chance so I didn't stop. Two hours later I cut the rope. I ran out of the room very quickly but I saw the man in black again. I tried to scream but I couldn't. Then I heard a very loud voice. Oh, God! It was my alarm clock. I wasn't very excited by waking up but I was happy that my dreams were over.

LOST DOG
Last year I went on holiday with my family and my friend Jessica. It was the middle of the summer and it was very hot. Me and Jessica were sitting in the car, listening to music and laughing. My dad was driving and my mom was sitting on the passenger seat. We drowe for at least two hours to get to the ferry. We got on it and drowe to a small island not too far away from the coast. We finaly got to a small house near the beach and unpacked our bags. Me and Jessica went down to the beach and got some ice crem. When we ate our ice creams we went to the coast and threw small rocks in the sea. It was quite dark when we got back to the house. We were tired so we went straight to bed.
The next day when we woke up we had breakfast. Then we went to the beach. Mom and dad were sunbathing and me and Jessica were swimming. When we had enough, we got out of the water and dried ourselfs. As we were lying on our towels a small dog came and sat next to us. It was very friendly. We wanted to check it’s collar, but it didn’t have one. We thought it was probably lost. It was a young male chiuaua. We named him Terminator. We stayed on the beach all day and played with him. My parents agreed to take him back to our house. He was officialy ours.
The rest of our holiday went great. We played with Terminator every single day. Me and Jessica also teached him some tricks. When it was time to go home, terminator came with us. Now he lives with me and my family, but Jessica visits him almost every day.

RESPECT YOUR LIFE!

It was a beautiful morning. It was 8 am. School ended a week ago, but I felt like I did not see my friends for years. So I called them and we decided to meet at the beach at 10 am. We are all surfers, so I took my surf and went to the beach. It was 9.30 am when I arrived there. So I went to the water. Waves were really high and it was great. I was on the surf when I saw something in the water. First I thought it is a dolphin, but I was wrong. In a second I was in the water and something grabbed my leg. I did not fell anything because I was full of adrenalin. There was blood everywhere. Then I realised that I was under the water. Shark tried to pull me even deeper but I did not want to give up. I started hitting it and grabbing as hard as I could. Then it finally let me go. I did not know what just happened, but I started swimming as fast as I could. I reached the beach and then I felt something I never felt before. My leg hurt so badly and I could not move it. I saw my friends running, but then everything came black. The next thing I remember is the hospital. When I woke up I saw my friends sleeping on chairs next to my bed. I looked to my leg but everything I saw were white strapping and some blood. But my leg was very small. And when I realised what happened I did not know what to do. I wanted to start screeming and I probably would, but then my friends woke up. They were crying and saying that everything is going to be okey. That that I could lose my life not just one leg. I still do not know what hapenned whit the shark but I am happy that I am alive.

strange dreams

STRANGE DREAM
One day, I was walking across a big desert. Everything was OK, but then I saw a polar bear. A polar bear in the desert! When I looked at it, I was scared. I stopped walking. It was very hot in the desert and I was very thirsty and exhausted. In the distance I saw some water and a shade. I started running towards that place. I was running and running, but there wasn`t anything. From the fatigue I had mirages. The bear was still here. Then some strange things started happening to me. I saw fireworks, my school and a big shopping centre and immediately it started snowing. The desert began shaking and rotating around. Suddenly I heard ‘boooom’. After that some strange animals started to appear: a mamut, a whale, a seal and at the end a zombie. I was very scared.
Then I woke up. That was only a dream, what a relief.

SURVIVAL !

One day in 2006 we were travelling to Sri Lanka by a cruise ship. There were two thousand passengers on the ship. It was a wonderful day, the sun was shining and we were near the coast.
We could see a beautiful city and long beaches from the ship. We were very exciting. In the morning we had breakfast after that we went swimming in the pool. Around one o'clock we had lunch. In the afternoon we were watching animals in the sea from board.
The ship was very big, it had two pools, a sauna, a casino, a disco and a cinema. The travelling was very expensive.
The next day we were in our room. At three o'clock the captain told us that there were some problems with electricity. All the people were very scared. We wanted to leave the room but the door didn't open. Soon the room was full of water. We were screaming. In the room there were no widows. Then we took fire-extinguisher and crashed the door. We saw emergency exit sign. We ran out. There was a crowd of people.
Life boats were full of people therefore we jumped in the water. Then we swam to the coast. When we were near the coast, the ship sank.
A lot of people died that day, but we didn't.

January challenge

This month's task was to write a thank you letter to an elderly aunt who usually gives rather unusual Christmas presents. The idea is from a book Writing Games by Charles and Jill Hadfield.

Dear aunt!
It was a sunny Friday when I saw the postman coming towards our house. I went out and saw a nice box. The postman sad »Your aunt sent you a present.« I was surprised when I heard this. I said thank you and goodbye to postman and I ran back to house and open it. I can ´t explain how happy I was when I saw the gift so I want to say thank you for it. This dustpan and a small broom are really cool and I enjoy using them. It is so funny to sweep the kitchen. I sweeped our living room and bathroom too.
I didn´t expect you to send me a present like this, but I know I will use it in the future and I´m sure that our house will always be clean.
Lenart Megušar

Dear aunt,
I want to write you a little note to thank you for the lovely picture you gave to me. I have it on the wall in our living room, and everyone looks at this picture. It's fascinating. I look at it every day and I know how much I miss you. Thank you again. You could not have picked out anything more perfect.
Anže Koblar

Dear aunt!
I am so gratefull, that you could come to our family dinner. It was great, wasn’t it? But the highlight of the night for me was of course the presents. When I opened yours, I found a book called Teach Yourself Latin. I love your gift, because I planed to learn Latin and next year we have the subject of it in school. So, I’m very thankful for your gift, it will help me a lot. Thanks!
Urška Mavrič

Dear aunt!
I want say thank you for the book that you sent me for Christmas, but I don't understand its title. A Short History of the Roman Empire? Short? I think that book with 150 pages is anything more than short. Even though I hate history I will try to read it. Maybe it is interesting and educational. But on the other way it will be nice to have it on my shelf. But on the other way I may have an exam or homework about the Roman Empire. I was realy surprised when I got this book but also very happy that you are thinking about me. But next time I would like to get a book about crime or a love story.
Klara Kovačič

Dear aunt,
I am writing to you because I would like to thank you for your Christmas gift. Immediately after Christmas I hung the light in my room and everybody said that is wonderful. At the beginning I was disappointed with your gift. You were a bit sad because at the beginning I didn’t like your gift. After I hung the light in the room I liked it very much. So thank you again for the gift. I hope you also liked my gift.
yours Eva Oblakovič

Dear aunt,
the karate book that you sent me was a stupid present, that I don´t need. When I saw it, I was rather disappointed. Next year you can give me anything else and I will be happy.
Anže Jemec

Dear aunt,
Thank you for a great surprise - a VASE. I love this thing becouse I am a gardner. It is very nice with many flowers in it. It is a really nice match with my colourful flowers. I think that is a very very nice and unique gift for me.
Now I am thinking what can I give you. Maybe you are a cook so I can buy you knives. Maybe you are a soldier so I can buy you a gun, or you are just an ordinary person who is very humble and you doesn't want anything. I will try my best to please you.
But I anyway will send you a gift. I know something perfect and just for you.
Best wishes,
Andrej Bergant

Dear aunt,

I'm writing you about present. This year you sent me a trumpet. I hate
it but I didn't throw it in the trash. Of course I appreciate that you haven't
forgotten about me. Next year I would like a little money. With that I
will buy a lot of things I don't have.

A story by Urša and Ana

SURVIVAL
One winter night I (Urša) was travelling by train with my friend Ana. We were sleeping when suddenly the train started shaking. We were totally terrified. We were turning over and over the hill. Down the hill there was a river. It was very deep and long. I and my friend were lucky that we saved our lives. We were waiting for somebody who survived this accident, but then we found out that we were the only passengers who survived. We were exhausted, so we fell asleep.
Next morning we heard a voice. It was a plane! We were so happy, but the problem was, that the plane didn't see us, because there were trees everywhere. We were hungry so I remembered what my sister told me about fishing. We made a spear. Ana was really good at throwing the spear so, she hit a fish. We roasted it on the fair and ate it.
It was very cold, so we made a little house on the tree. There was much warmer than outside. We wanted to fall asleep, but we were hungry, so we roasted a fish again. Suddenly we heard a helicopter! It found us, that is why we were so happy, but very exhausted. When we came home, our families were really happy to see us.
This is a story about our adventure.
