A story by Nika and Iza

BUTTERFLY GIRL

There was a girl. Her name was Alice. She was an orphan. Her hair was curly and colorful, just like butterfly. So her friends called her Butterfly. Every day when she came to the school she heard voices screaming “Butterfly! Look the Butterfly comes!”

This was repeated from day to day, from month to month, from year to year… Until she became crazy. She was shouting, pulling her hair, crying… Now her schoolmates called her “The crazy Butterfly.” When she walked along the town the people screamed after her “Butterfly watch out! You’re going to fall! You already haven’t got wings!”

She was lonely, without friend and love. She has never been hugged or reassured. Because of that she ran away into forest. She has never been seen and eventually they all forgot her.

She wandered through the forest and then she got lost. She cried and cried and called for help, but in answer she got only a silence of forest. She lied on the forest ground and waited for nothing, listened to nothing, did nothing, thought nothing… she was nothing.

One day the sun shined with magic light on her. From the nothing the butterfly flied on her and kissed her cheek. She woke up and suddenly she transformed into Blue Monarch Butterfly. They both flied to the rainforest.

They landed on really big tree where a family of butterflies lived. They all stared at her beauty. The king - Orange Monarch Butterfly scolded her “ Oh, Alice! You’re terrible late, you know! Naughty!”

Everyone loved her and she became the queen of butterflies, because only the Monarch Butterflies can be queens or kings of the family.

She finally lived in peace, love and happiness for ever after.
